A: Yes, NeoFinder is indeed able to get you a thumbnail of the 3D printer STL (Standard Tessellation Language) file, if you ask it to do so.
Open the DatabaseSettings and add ".stl" to the "Catalog QuickLook Thumbs for" list. Write the settings, and catalog a folder of STL files.

Please make sure that the option to generate Photos thumbnails is enabled, as NeoFinder treats QuickLook previews as photos.
