WARNING! DO NOT INSTALL macOS 15.8!

If you are a photographer, and your Mac is still running macOS 15 "Sequoia", do NOT update to the freshly released version 15.8!
Apple was able to completely break the essential RawCamera system framework, and macOS 15.8 is now unable to use Nikon, Canon, and other RAW files anymore.
That is a very serious Apple bug.
Spotlight will hang for CR2, NEF, or DNG and other files, Preview.app can no longer open RAW files and will hang forever. The Finder can no longer display thumbnails of RAW files and will hang trying to do so. As will all other applications that can open these RAW files directly, like Apples own Pages.
It is remarkable that Apple is breaking such a core feature in a very late macOS version release (previously considered mature), and most of all, it is remarkable that they didn't even notice it.
There is no Q&A left at Apple, it seems, no more actual testing is being done. That is very bad.
Unfortunately, as Apple still doesn't provide proper macOS Installers anymore, it is impossible to get back to macOS 15.7.9, which was still working. A shame, really.
We are of course working frenetically on a fix for NeoFinder, to get around this massive bug of Apple.
