I have all my photos from 2000 to 2025 in one big catalog on one single harddisk.
It is becoming difficult to manage - Catalog update are slow etc.
The existing folderstructure of the disk are:
Photos (Catalog folder)
Year-month (2000-01)
Year-month (2000-02)
Year-month (2000-03)
..
--
Year-month (2025-08)
I would like to have one catalog per year with the same folderstructure as I have now - like this:
2000 (Catalog folder)
Year-month (2000-01)
Year-month (2000-02)
Year-month (2000-03)
..
..
2025 (Catalog folder)
Year-month (2025-08)
How do I achieve this, without too much manual work, loosing metadata etc?
Split one big catalog into multiple smaller catalogs

Re: Split one big catalog into multiple smaller catalogs
You create new Catalogs and then delete the big one.
As NeoFinder stores annotations, ratings, and all such directly in the media files, you won't be losing metadata that way.
